Developing a vision through to a commercial product can be a challenging process. Not only does a brands design language need to be expressed, it is imperative that the timepiece; functions correctly, can be manufactured within budgetary constraints and wears harmoniously with the customer, becoming an intimate extension of their being that expresses their internal and external values.

Concept Development

Utilising digital tools, together with clients, we iteratively work through concepts to converge on an execution that fulfils the design brief.

Once the design aesthetic has been agreed upon, rapid prototypes are created to ensure that the feel of the watch works harmoniously with the user.

Technical Design

Once the design aesthetic has been agreed upon, technical developments commence.


At this stage, virtual prototypes (accurate 3D images and video renders) can be created for marketing and sales purposes.

Product Samples

Before the production run, samples are manufactured and assembled.

At this stage, an experienced Watch Maker will assemble the timepiece and will not only flag any current issues, but will highlight any potential issues that may arise in time - the service life of a timepiece is a critical factor that is often overlooked, but it can incur a significant burden.

Additionally, this is also the perfect opportunity to trail different dial/hand executions to find the perfect aesthetic.

Industrialisation

At the mass production stage, OraTec can deliver you complete Watch Kits to be assembled at your facility, else you can receive assembled watches, ready for sale.
